Shaeffer and Sons Baby Grand solid Rosewood Piano for sale in Garden Grove, California

$5,500

Beautiful Baby Grand Piano! Very few made like this!! Made of solid rosewood in the style of Louis XV. Beautifully carved legs and scrolling around the edges. Piano bench is leather with carved legs. Piano has hardly ever been used and has all original strings etc. Maybe played for 200 hours total. This is a considered an "Art Case" in the piano world. It is beautiful on it's own as a piece of furniture and a work of art. It is in near perfect condition. It will need to be tuned as it has not been played for quite a few years. The pictures don't do it justice.

I am selling it because I haven't played in years and I live in a smaller home now.

When I bought the piano from a dealer in Costa Mesa, they had a celebrity named Jo Ann Castle sign the brass plate inside, so it still bears her signature. She was a well known musician and was with the Lawrence Welk show for many years and recorded many albums. So, for you music history buffs out there, this may interest you.

I had been told that the piano was worth between $12,000 to $15,000 but that was a few years back before the economy took a tumble so I am asking the discounted price of $5,500 OBO. I was asking $6500 but I found out 4 of the keys are sticking and the piano repair technician said it would cost the buyer around $300-$500 MAXIMUM to unstick them.

Might be interested in barter/trade depending on what you have. Could use a nice low mileage car or an enclosed trailer. Let me know what you have. The worst that can happen is I say no.

Please call me with any questions you may have. If you would like to see the piano I will have to make arrangements to be there as I live in the desert now. I can email you more pictures on request. Please call .

I will only answer email if you include your name and phone number.

Thank You for looking and have a GREAT day!
